Cartagena’s best opening act is often above the streets, not in them. Rooftop bars along the walled city and the bay give you breeze, rum cocktails, and the old city turning gold at sunset. Arrive thirty to forty-five minutes before sunset for a spot along the rail. Dress a step up from beach casual.
